Stain Removal
If something spills on your carpet, action must be taken very quickly.
In such cases, first of all, the excess liquid should be absorbed by applying a tampon with a paper towel before the liquid is dispersed, and cleaning agents containing bleaching chemicals (such as bleach) should not be used.
The area where the liquid is spilled should be wiped with cold water and natural soap after tampon application.
Wiping should be done with the help of a soft and white cloth in the direction of the pile, so as not to disperse the stain; Circular or anti-pile scrubbing should be avoided.
Why should I wipe the carpet in the pile direction?
Natural yarns such as viscose, wool, floss consist of twisting very fine fibers. Circular hard wipes or excessive pressure scrubbing during cleaning can open these bends. When the strength of the unfolded ropes disappears, the crushed fibers can intertwine and cause an image called “felting” in the colloquial language. Since the twisted ropes will lie in different directions, they can reflect light from different angles. These light reflections can also be interpreted by the consumer as color loss/difference. In order to avoid these consequences, the above instructions should be followed when wiping your carpet.
The cleaned area should not be stepped on until it is completely dry.
Best Regards,
Serkan
